Readers react to '2016: Obama's America' review

I had my say on Dinesh D'Souza's film "2016: Obama's America" when Newsday published my zero-star review on Monday. Now readers are having their say. Here are excerpts from email reactions to my review.

From Larry: Mr. Guzman's review was more revealing of his own political philosophy than enlightening about the movie, "2016." The tone of his article couldn't disguise his...

Ann Romney's love for the show "Modern Family" just got political.

The sitcom's creator, Steve Levitan, has offered the possible first lady a role in the show, but only if her husband's politics don't get in the way.

Romney, who declared "Modern Family" is her favorite TV show in an interview with The Insider, was offered the role on Tuesday via Twitter... But it...

Emily is caught in the crossfire when Maya's

Holy good G-d, what an episode. While this season's finale gave answers, it was also very careful to keep skating around bigger questions.

And while I do want to dive right in about how Emily cannot seem to catch a break, there are a few things that need to be touched on first.

Nate — sorry, Lyndon James — gave us a few signs over the past few episodes that not everything was quite right...

After a mishap on Jenna’s broadcast show involving marijuana candy, her journalism career has become a punch line — similar to the laughable careers of Lindsay Lohan or Kim Kardashian. “Honesty” involves Ryan attempting to revive her career, passing along a variation of story leads for her to report on.

While hanging out in the basement, Wilfred reveals a pit hidden beneath a rug where he...

In a less than shocking move, former child star Kirk Cameron has spoken out in support of Rep. Todd Akin, after the politician's highly-criticized comments about rape and abortion.

Cameron, who is known for his openness about his religious and political views, appeared on CNN and the “Today” show to share his thoughts on Akin's “legitimate rape” controversy.

“Clearly this is a man who...

'Pretty Little Liars' recap: 'Single Fright Female'

Spencer learns about Paige's shocking past with Ali,

“We needed proof and we got it,” Spencer confidently tells Hanna this week, procuring the missing earring from Ali's coffin out of Paige's bag. This presumably convicts her of being A – or at least part of the goon squad. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced.

I could be wrong, but it's too forced. Paige's being a member of the A-team would be too easy, a cop-out if you will. While there doesn't...

A scene from season two's episode quot;Service.quot; quot;Wilfredquot;

Ryan’s back at work — that dark gray, claustrophobic place. It’s time on FX's "Wilfred" for some seriousness. Ryan's boss gives an inspirational speech after announcing the employees will be losing their jobs. And after he goes into his office to “call his wife,” he shoots himself.

Emotions go from depressing to light when Ryan’s mom offers to help his sister, Kristen, in preparing...
