State officials are reaching out to car-rental companies to help New Yorkers with travel options after damage from superstorm Sandy, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's office said Friday.
The Department of State has facilitated the relocation of more than 12,000 cars to the metropolitan area, with another 5,000 on the way, according to a news release from the governor's office.
