The trade that brought Ichiro Suzuki to the Yankees is now more than a month behind us. So was it worth it?
It's not enough to look at Ichiro's numbers with the Yankees in that span. You also have to look at what the Yankees lost in the trade, and we're not talking spare parts like Danny Farquhar and D.J. Mitchell (the two players the Yankees gave up to get Ichiro). We mean Dewayne Wise.

Joba Chamberlain saw some action Wednesday for the first time in a week and a half.
The reliever entered the game in the ninth with the bases loaded and the Yankees trailing 6-5. He faced four batters, allowing just one hit and striking out one. It was a bit of a surprise considering Joe Girardi had said he didn’t plan on using Chamberlain in any critical spots, preferring to let him work...Read more »

However, Jones doesn’t believe the injury is serious and made it clear he doesn’t think he’ll miss any time at all, which is good news for the injury-ravaged Yankees.
“My fingers went back a little, but it will be all right,” Jones said....Read more »
Joe Mauer was placed on waivers this week and the Minnesota Twins scheduled a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

The announcement was that the Twins would host the 2014 All-Star Game.
Mauer was never...Read more »
