This weekend’s entertainment picks include a homecoming for a former Hudson Valley resident and his popular band, as well as two musical theater productions that had celebrated runs on the Great White Way.

Thursday-Sunday: ‘George M!’ at Westchester Broadway Theatre

It’s the end of the run for the Westchester Broadway Theatre’s production of “George M!” Packed with patriotic tunes by songwriter George M. Cohan (“Yankee Doodle Dandy,” “Over There” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag”), the Broadway musical covers six decades in his life, from his Rhode Island upbringing to his 25 years of Broadway dominance.

When: 11:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., Thursday, June 28 and Friday, June 29; 6:15 p.m., Saturday, July 30; 11:45 a.m., Sunday, July 1

Friday-Sunday: Smokey Joe’s Cafe at the Emelin Theatre

The Westchester Sandbox Theatre brings its production of “Smokey Joe's Cafe” — Broadway’s longest-running musical revue — to the Emelin. The show’s a tribute to the rock, jazz and blues hits of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who churned out hits ranging from “Hound Dog” to “Love Potion No. 9.”

When: 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30, and 3 p.m. July 1; additional performances at 8 p.m. July 6 and 7, and 3 p.m. July 8

Saturday: Dave Matthews Band at Bethel Woods

Dave Matthews, who spent part of his childhood in Yorktown, returns to the Hudson Valley with his band for a show at Bethel Woods. The Grammy-winning band has been working on a new album with Steve Lillywhite, who produced DMB’s first three studio efforts: “Under the Table and Dreaming,” “Crash” and “Before These Crowded Streets.” But expect to hear the hits that made them famous in the ’90s, including “Ants Marching.” Delta Spirit, whose new single, “California,” is gaining momentum on rock and alternative radio stations, will open the show.

When: 7 p.m., Saturday, June 30

Info: Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, 200 Hurd Rd., Bethel; 866-781-2922; bethelwoodscenter.org; $47-$87
