Big news for Beyoncé: The singer and Scarsdale homeowner has inked a new $50 million spokesperson deal with Pepsi, a brand she has represented since 2002.
According to a news release from Pepsi, whose headquarters are in Purchase, Beyoncé's promotional duties will include a new "Live for Now" television commercial, which is set to have a global release in early 2013. The singer's image also will be featured on a limited run of Pepsi cans, and Pepsi is sponsoring her 2013 Super Bowl halftime show.
Perhaps Beyoncé celebrated the news with her husband, Jay-Z, at Miami's Art Basel fest during the weekend, one of the season's most star-studded events. She posted photos on her Tumblr page of herself at the art fest with her mother, Tina Knowles, and former Destiny’s Child band mate Kelly Rowland.
Mount Vernon-based rap mogul Diddy also attended Art Basel, and People magazine reported that he hung out with the Scarsdale supercouple at a private birthday party for music star Rico Love on Saturday.
Woodstock’s Uma Thurman and Bedford’s Martha Stewart also made the Miami scene, and Stewart noted on Twitter that “Art basel is a happening place. Saw many friends and celebrities and lots of excellent art.”
