Beyonce, Jimmy Fallon earn Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week
Beyoncé, Jimmy Fallon and Rosie O'Donnell
It's time again for the best, funniest and most interesting Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week, featuring high-profile personalities with a connection to the region.
(Did you miss the previous two editions? Check out the ones we picked for last week, and the week before that. Now, back to the countdown!)
At No. 5, South Nyack resident Rosie O'Donnell must believe that a picture is worth a thousand words, because she only uses one to describe it: "Hudson."

Pictured is O'Donnell's fiancée, Michelle Rounds, walking two dogs by the Hudson River. It's a pretty, peaceful scene, one that O'Donnell and Rounds could use of late, especially given the stress of Rounds' current battle with desmoid tumors. We wish Michelle a speedy recovery!
In the fourth spot on the countdown, it's Beyoncé, who picked up her marriage license and a home in Scarsdale. For months, she seemed content having an inactive verified Twitter account. Despite her debut tweet on Aug. 5 sending the Internet into a frenzy — a Freyonzé, if you will — it would be another week before the world would be graced with her second post.

I'll never mock the concept of kindness — Twitter could always use more of it — but I am cracking up that Beyonce has to tell us who she is. On her own Twitter account. That is verified. Way to make me wonder if this is really your assistant, B!
Tweet No. 3 features Hyde Park resident Deuce, a morning DJ at the Poughkeepsie-based radio station WRRV.

At least that was better received than the air-horn I set off during my friend's eulogy. What can I say? A tough crowd is a tough crowd.
This week's runner-up is former Saugerties resident Jimmy Fallon, who has big plans for boy band One Direction if he's elected president.
If 13-year-old girls could vote, Jimmy Fallon would win in a landslide. It would only be a matter of time before President Fallon would introduce Secretary of State Bieber.
Our top tweet of the week comes from Congers comedian Pete Dominick, who reminds his followers about the reality of communication in 2012.

R.I.P. Voice-mail, 1877-2012. You are survived by carrier pigeons, who at least continue to serve a function as noisy pets.
