Tickets went on sale this morning at 10 for the 68th annual International Music Festival at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah.
The festival takes place each summer, and 2013's schedule features a July Fourth fireworks display and notable performances by Suzanne Vega (Aug. 2) and Croton-on-Hudson's Audra McDonald (Aug. 3). Other highlights are a concert by pianist Yefim Bronfman (July 14), the opera "Don Carlos" (July 20) and the 20th Anniversary Jazz Festival (July 26-28). And for the first time ever, the opening night event will be a Broadway show -- "She Loves Me" -- a story better known for the Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan movie adaptation, "You've Got Mail" (June 22-23).
All summer shows, which run from June 22 to Aug. 7, will take place outdoors on the 99-acre estate rain or shine. Most events allow on-site picnics, which can be brought in from outside or pre-ordered and picked up at the venue; on-site grilling takes place for the jazz fest.
Tickets, which generally range from $15 to $85, depending on the show, can be bought online or by calling the box office at 914-232-1252.
The Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts is at 149 Girdle Ridge Rd. in Katonah. Find more information at www.caramoor.org.
