With Labor Day approaching and the kids heading back to school next week, the Hudson Buzz has a special treat to ease the end-of-summer blues.
All this week, we’ll be sharing yearbook photos of some of your favorite Hudson Valley celebrities. The catch? You’re going to have to guess the identity of the local celebrity based on his or her photo and some fun facts that should enlighten and entertain.
To kick off the series, check out the photo of today’s mystery star. He has quite the fashion sense, matching his checkered suit to his dress shirt and tie to stunning effect. Here are your clues:
1. He grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson and attended Hackley School in Tarrytown with future ESPN colleague Chris Berman. After graduating in 1975, he enrolled at Cornell University at age 16.
2. According to one the star's recent blog posts, one of his teachers at Hackley predicted that he would “wind up either in politics or influencing it.” His teacher was right: This left-leaning celeb has held many high-profile media jobs, including hosting his own popular talk show, where he often opined on politics.
3. Fired from his most recent TV gig earlier this year, this celeb keeps busy by writing about baseball at his MLB-affiliated blog. He also just launched a Tumblr page devoted to his photography.
Think you know who it is? Let us know in the comments, and then come back here tomorrow for the next celebrity yearbook photo. We’ll reveal the identities of all the stars next week in a special photo gallery.
