The Eisenhower Hall Theatre at West Point will host the rock band Daughtry for a rare summer show at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

At the venue that's also known as Ike Hall, summer performances tend to be the exception, as the vast majority of shows are booked for the academic year, when cadets are on campus. Most shows there are open to the public.

Tickets to see Chris Daughtry's band are available online at ikehall.com for $50 apiece. Not bad for a guy who finished fourth on season five of "American Idol."

Among the other acts slated to perform at Ike Hall during the 2012-13 season are comedian Jeff Dunham (Sept. 30); musicians Broadway Rox (Oct. 20); a cappella group Straight No Chaser (Oct. 28); the musical “Nunset Boulevard” (Nov. 4); The New York Tenors (Nov. 30); the band Bowfire (Dec. 9); comedian Kathleen Madigan (Jan. 12); the musical “A Chorus Line” (March 3); New Shanghai Circus (March 23); Three Mo’ Tenors (April 13); and acrobats Traces (May 5).
