It's the end of the world, again -- an excuse to party like never before. If the world happens to end on Friday, Dec. 21, as a doomsday myth and the Mayan calendar   predicts, here are three Hudson Valley venues hosting "End of World" parties that will make Y2K look like child’s play.

“Everyone is up in arms about the end of the world, so one day we just said that we are going to throw a party and have a good time,” said David Alves, a bartender at Molly Spillane’s (211 Mamaroneck Ave., Mamaroneck; 914-899-3130; mollyspillanespub.com).

Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, DJ Joe will be spinning Top 40 hits, and drink specials will include $4 Doomsday shots, $6 Mayan Martinis and $5 Mayan Malbec Wine. Or you can go for the Full Survival Kit: one bucket of beer, one order of sliders and three shots of choice for $30. If you’re trying to save a little change (in case, you know, the world doesn’t end), go for the Poor Man’s Survival Kit: one beer, one burger or sandwich, and one shot for $15. There is no cover to attend the event.

“We are just going to party like it’s the end of the world,” Alves said.

Local teens can head to the Tappan Library for a lock-in party from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday (93 Main St, Tappan; 845-359-3877; taplib.org). The venue will screen disaster flick "2012" and serve pizza. After the movie, everyone can mingle and enjoy small talk about whether the Mayans got it right or not. Registration, which must be completed by 8 p.m. Thursday, and a completed parental permission form are required to attend.

The River Roadhouse will welcome the end of the world with a high-energy hard rock act. Silver Spade, a metal/hard rock band hailing from Yonkers and Poughkeepsie, will put on a live performance during the venue's "End of the World" party starting at 9 p.m. Friday (533 Warburton Ave., Hastings-on-Hudson; 914-478-5227). Along with the live entertainment, River Roadhouse will offer drink specials and no cover charge.
