Jimmy Fallon, David Letterman host NYC shows despite Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy couldn't stop former Saugerties resident Jimmy Fallon as he proceeded with his "Late Night" show yesterday despite heavy winds and flooding in New York City.

After sending home the audience to keep them "safe and warm," he proceeded to deliver his show opening on 50th Street near Radio City, where he introduced guests Seth Meyers of "SNL," Padma Lakshmi of "Top Chef" and "Flight" director Robert Zemeckis. See the video, below.

Like Fallon, David Letterman, who lives in North Salem, also aired his "Late Show," similarly addressing an empty audience. Lone guest Denzel Washington, a Mount Vernon native, braved the weather to promote his new movie, "Flight," which hits theaters Friday.

In his opening, Letterman went through a Top 10 list dedicated to "Frankenstorm." Watch that video, below.
