Lauren Spierer's parents to appear on 'Katie' talk show Dec. 3
Lauren Spierer’s parents are scheduled to appear Monday on Katie Couric’s syndicated talk show, “Katie." Robert and Charlene Spierer, of Greenburgh, will share an update with viewers on the search for their daughter, who has been missing since June 2011.
Couric announced the news on Twitter Tuesday, noting that the Spierers' upcoming appearance was “an important ep (episode) for all.”
Lauren Spierer, a then-20-year-old Indiana University student, was last seen June 3, 2011, when she left a friend's apartment in Bloomington, Ind. Despite intensive media coverage, the police have yet to make any major headway in her case.
The Spierers have been tireless in their search for Lauren. They've held a number of fundraisers, including the "Shop for Lauren" fundraisier at Mount Kisco's Via Michelle boutique in July, and also have a frequently updated website, findlauren.com, which features regular news on their efforts to locate their daughter.
