London-themed story time and craft in West Nyack
Photo credit: Candlewick Press | Kids can see the sights of London without leaving their seats at a reading of "A Walk in London" at 7 p.m. Friday at Barnes & Noble bookstore in West Nyack.
If watching the Summer Olympics has your kids curious about the host city, they might enjoy a reading of “A Walk in London,” written and illustrated by Salvatore Rubbino.
On Friday evening at Barnes & Noble in West Nyack (The Palisades Center, 4416 Palisades Center Dr.), youngsters can take a colorful visual and narrative tour of London – all without leaving their seats. Bright, bold illustrations and fun facts will bring to life such famous sights as Buckingham Palace and the River Thames.
After the story, it’s time to get crafty and make an Olympic-themed art project to take home. The approximately 45-minute program will appeal to ages 7 and younger.
The reading begins at 7 p.m. and is free for all ages. To learn more, call 845-348-4701.
