Mariah Carey, Hayden Panettiere earn Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week

In case you missed it due to a 24-hour coma, yesterday was Valentine's Day. "American Idol" judge and former Bedford resident Mariah Carey took her followers along on her romantic date with husband Nick Cannon. There was the bubble bath for two (in fairness, one of the two was a puppy) as well as evidence of playful trespassing in Central Park. In between was this photo of the happy couple, who opted for subtlety on this most sacred of overblown holidays.

I choose to pretend that the butterfly-shaped balloon behind Cannon's head is actually an inflatable bow that he wore specially for the occasion. It even matches his shirt!

This week's runner-up is "Nashville" star Palisades native Hayden Panettiere, who also is celebrating Valentine's Day, but in her case, it's with an oversized gift and awkward travel companion.

So many questions here. First: Who gave this to her? Second: Did she have to buy a second plane ticket or was she stuck with a lap-dancing bear the entire flight? Third: When can we expect to see them canoodling on a red carpet? TMZ is all over this, I'm sure.

The tweet of the week belongs to Nyack resident Rosie O'Donnell, who already has a nomination for the next pope: her newborn daughter Dakota.

And she has a strong case: Dakota is adorable and has great power over all of her mom's followers. She and her plush mitre are off to a good start.
