Northern Westchester resident Nick Di Paolo made one of many celebrity cameos on last night's episode of "Louie," and, in the process, reminded viewers of one of the FX series' most celebrated scenes.

In the episode, Di Paolo joins star Louis C.K. and fellow comics Sarah Silverman, Jim Norton, Rick Crom and William Stephenson around the poker table. Di Paolo is busting Norton's chops for doodling a picture of a naked woman and keeping it in his wallet, when C.K. manages to be even more embarrassing by vomiting onto himself, sending everyone in the room scattering like so many barf chunks.

In the first season of "Louie," that same poker setting — and some of the same comedians — provided one of the best moments in the critically acclaimed series' history.

The series' second episode features C.K., Di Paolo and others as they discuss the use of the homophobic F-word in comedy, which has parallels to a controversy C.K. faced in real life after using the word repeatedly in one of his comedy specials. That discussion has moments that are hilarious, somber and thought-provoking, establishing those tones for the show from that moment onward.

Last night's episode also featured cameos by Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham, playing a different role for his second "Louie" appearance, and "Eagleheart" star Maria Thayer. Robin Williams, Artie Lange, Parker Posey and former Mount Vernon resident J.B. Smoove have also had memorable "Louie" guest spots this year.
