Oscars 2013: Will Benh Zeitlin win the best adapted screenplay award for 'Beasts'?

In the week leading up to the 2013 Academy Awards, Newsday Westchester's Chris Serico and Kirthana Ramisetti will be sharing their predictions on which stars will win major prizes at this year's show, with special attention paid to local nominees.

First up, the best original screenplay and best adapted screenplay categories. Does Hastings' Benh Zeitlin have a shot of scoring an Oscar for co-writing the script for "Beasts of the Southern Wild"? And what are the odds that Dutchess County's John Gatins will win an Academy Award for best original screenplay for "Flight"?
