Paul Teutul Jr., Tom Brokaw earn Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week

Paul Teutul Jr. Tom Brokaw, and Rob Thomas

Paul Teutul Jr. Tom Brokaw, and Rob Thomas share their tweets in the Hudson Valley.

It's a dude-centric edition of the Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week, featuring five top Twitter moments from comedians, a newsman and a custom bike builder who's riding off into the sunset.

At No. 5, Matchbox Twenty front man and Bedford resident Rob Thomas is ready to rock! And by rock, I mean offer thoughtful holiday décor tips.

Rob Thomas tweet

If he asks his concert audiences for requests, I hope someone shouts, "What should I do with my boughs of holly?" Bonus points if the band actually has a song by that name.

In the fourth spot is Pound Ridge resident and trusted newsman Tom Brokaw, whose  sports smack talk knows no bounds. Just ask CNN's Barbara Levin.

Tom Brokaw tweet

I'm liking that Brokaw appears to be a fan of Big Blue. But does he salsa whenever Victor Cruz scores a touchdown? Now there's a special report he needs to file for NBC News.

At No. 3 is comedian and Rye native Nick Kroll, who's probably looking over your shoulder at this very second to see what's on your screen.

Nick Kroll tweet

Perhaps the lone exception to this rule is that former Dell spokesman, the bro who was a little too excited to announce, 'Dude, you're gettin' a Dell!" Slow your roll, man.

This week's runner-up is another comic who grew up in Westchester, Tarrytown native Greg Fitzsimmons. He's looking at the bright side of Los Angeles traffic, assuming there is one.

Greg Fitzsimmons tweet

It's unclear if he's tweeting while driving here, but knowing standstill L.A. traffic can strike at any hour, he likely could have taken a nap on the Ventura Freeway without consequence.

This week's top tweet belongs to Paul Teutul Jr., who, like many of us, played the Powerball lottery this week. With "American Chopper" filming its final episode this week in Newburgh, perhaps he was looking for a new source of income.

Paul Teutul tweet

I fared only slightly better than Teutul, picking both the Powerball number (six) and one of the regular numbers (23, in honor of the great Don Mattingly). My prize was $4, which is exactly the same as what I'd have won had I only picked the Powerball number. I couldn't win another dollar for getting two numbers right? C'mon now.
