'Real Housewives' star Tamra Barney to celebrate bachelorette party in New Rochelle
"The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Tamra Barney, whose relationship with Eddie Judge has been featured on the show, is heading to New Rochelle and opening her bachelorette party to the public.
From 7 to 10 tonight, NoMa Social will host Westchester County's first public appearance by a cast member of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" (1 Radisson Plaza, New Rochelle, 914-576-4141, www.nomasocial.com).
DJ Spinbad and a Gypsy Kings cover band will provide the soundtrack for the event, which will also feature an open bar with specialty drinks, Mediterranean tapas by NoMa executive chef Bill Rosenberg, gift bags and party favors.
Colby Brock, the owner of NoMa, told Newsday Westchester the "chic, sophisticated setting" of the part-restaurant, part-club is a perfect fit for the event.
"Tamra selected NoMa Social to host her bachelorette party via referral from other celebrities that are a part of the 'Housewives' national brand," Brock said. "Both Tamra and the team at NoMa Social felt the location was perfectly suited for the mood she wanted to evoke for her big bachelorette party."
Barney's not the only "Real Housewives" star with a Hudson Valley connection. Carole Radziwill, who stars on "The Real Housewives of New York City," grew up in Suffern.
But why's Barney's big event taking place on a Wednesday night, rather than a Friday or Saturday night?
According to Brock, "Tamra recently opened her new fitness studio, C.U.T. Fitness in Orange County. Her client book is extremely full on the weekends, so a weekday event worked best for her schedule."
