With “All My Children” set to debut online this spring, series star Susan Lucci said that while she still isn’t confirmed to appear on the soap, she hopes to be able to visit Pine Valley again one day.
During a Monday appearance on "The View," the Scarsdale native discussed rumors that she would reprise her iconic character Erica Kane on "AMC."
“I so hope that I can return,” Lucci said. “I want with all my heart to return to ‘All My Children.’ I just don’t know the answer yet — but what I do know is that all of us … are working so hard to make that happen.”
“All My Children” was canceled in 2011, but last month Prospect Park announced that the show would be re-launched online, and production on the soap would begin Feb. 25. While Soaps in Depth recently reported that Lucci would film one episode of the series, the star’s comments seem to imply that the details have not yet been worked out.
Whether or not the actress is able to return to “AMC,” she noted that she’s still a big fan of the show that made her a star.
“My heart is certainly with [“AMC” creator] Agnes Nixon,” Lucci said. “And [the revived soap] is going to be a wonderful. And I want you all to watch, because it’s going to be great.”
Lucci also talked about her current project, the Lifetime series “Devious Maids.” The actress revealed that the show is filming in Atlanta, and is set to premiere later this year.

Should Susan Lucci return to All My Children?
Yes! I can't imagine Pine Valley without her. No - I would prefer seeing her in other projects.
