Miss seeing Susan Lucci on the small screen since “All My Children” was canceled last year? You’re in luck: The Scarsdale native is returning to TV to host “Deadly Affairs,” which premieres on Investigation Discovery on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 p.m.
The series, which profiles real-life love stories that end in murder, involves various crimes of passion, such as “wandering eyes at the workplace leading to adulterous romps in the supply closet” and “Bible-study couples tempted by lust to commit the ultimate sin.” Sounds deliciously soapy – no wonder Lucci, who played Erica Kane on "AMC" for decades, was recruited to host this show.
Besides the Investigation Discovery series, Lucci will also star in the 2013 Lifetime series “Devious Maids,” created by “Desperate Housewives” showrunner Marc Cherry.
The actress winks at her daytime diva image in a series of video clips in which she reveals how people can tell if their significant others are cheating. Check out Lucci demonstrating how to figure out if your partner is having a “deadly affair” via his or her grooming habits in a video, below.
