'The Following,' partly filmed in Westchester, debuts to big ratings

Good news for Kevin Bacon: His new show, “The Following,” has a following.

The Fox drama, which filmed scenes in Westchester County in 2012, debuted to stellar ratings. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The Following” drew 10.4 million viewers Monday night, tying the CBS series “Elementary” for the second-highest-rated drama debut this season. (“Revolution,” produced by Sarah Lawrence College alumnus J.J. Abrams, had the top-rated drama debut.)

“The Following" shot scenes in Bronxville in August, including some at Womrath Bookshop. The series also shot scenes in Mount Pleasant in October, at Rockefeller Park and on Route 117.
