Info: The house band for NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (whose host hails from Saugerties) played The Capitol Theatre on three nights in September, and all of their gigs will be followed by DJ ?uestlove’s Cap Train Party. Their Sept. 28 concert date was postponed and will be rescheduled.

Well, it's about time.

After Newsday Westchester was first to report that the Moody Blues, Hugh Laurie and Blues Traveler would be among the acts to play The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester when it re-opens following renovations, a spokesman for the venue finally revealed the bulk of its fall and winter schedule this morning in a press release.

The headliner for opening night, slated for Sept. 4, has yet to be announced, but in addition to the acts previously scooped, the theater has announced a 40-show schedule, including performances by The Roots (four times!), David Gray, Regina Spektor, Ben Folds Five, Fiona Apple, Al Green, My Morning Jacket, Steve Miller Band and Herbie Hancock.

Here's a look at the official Capitol Theatre schedule as it stands today:

Since the venue is in negotiations for an iconic act for opening night, my guess is it'll be David Bowie, especially since he was among the iconic acts (the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Derek and the Dominoes, Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, Santana, Black Sabbath and Iggy Pop) to play the venue during its golden years.

Who do you think will be the opening-night act? If you have a guess, post it in the comments section below. (And if you know for sure, email us at nyevents@cablevision.com)
