Tina Fey's 'Admission' trailer airs before Golden Globes

The trailer for the Tina Fey-Paul Rudd movie "Admission," which filmed for weeks in Westchester County, aired moments before the "30 Rock" star took the stage to co-host the Golden Globes with Amy Poehler.

Based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s 2009 novel of the same name, “Admission” is a drama-comedy about a Princeton University admissions officer, Portia Nathan (Fey), whose life changes when she realizes that a quirky student attending a New England experimental high school, co-founded by John Halsey (Paul Rudd), may be the son she gave up for adoption.

In May, eight weeks of film production began with a Bronxville shoot, specifically at Value Drugs Family Center at 80 Pondfield Rd. Interior scenes were shot in the pharmacy area, which remained open for business while members of the film crew and police officers maintained a presence in front of the store.

That day, Newsday Westchester spotted Fey on break, eating a sandwich — in true Liz Lemon fashion — inside the pharmacy. A publicist for the film told Newsday Westchester at the time that she wasn't available for interviews, but Fey did emerge later to sign autographs for children who gathered on Pondfield Road.

A day later, crews moved to Manhattanville College in Purchase for an additional two weeks of filming. Several campus offices, including the admissions and president's office, were to be featured in scenes, according to a college spokeswoman.

It doesn't look like the pharmacy appears in the "Admission" trailer, but there's a very good chance those interior campus scenes are Manhattanville. We'll have a better idea what made the final cut when the movie hits theaters March 8.
