In a campaign to promote the dining scene in downtown Yonkers, the city is hosting its second annual Downtown BID International Restaurant Week from Sunday, Feb. 3, through Feb. 10.

From the Caribbean to Mexican to Pakistani cuisines, diners will have the chance to sample a variety of dishes at about 10 city restaurants, which will offer 20 percent discounts at lunch and 25 percent discounts at dinner.

One of the more animated spots to take part in Restaurant Week is La Bella Havana, a compact, high-energy local favorite that features authentic, inexpensive Cuban food (35 Main St., Yonkers; 914-920-9777; www.labellahavana.com). It also offers electrifying live salsa music on Saturday evenings beginning at 8 p.m. and a “Salsa and Dinner” special from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, which includes unlimited mojitos and Cuba libres, plus two empanadas and an entrée for $25.

Another good option is Dolphin, a 200-seat seafood restaurant with a pretty vista of the Hudson River that attracts a late date crowd (1 Van Der Donck St., Yonkers; 914-751-8170; dolphinrbl.com). The semicasual dining room is done in muted colors, and a long, flashy bar comes with Vegas-style white leather settees. The menu is a mélange of Mediterranean Italian, French and Asian cooking.

Rounding out the recommended restaurant week picks is X2O, the major culinary attraction on Yonkers’ waterfront (71 Water Grant St., Yonkers; 914-965-1111; xaviars.com). The restaurant is perched on a massive river pier that was converted several years ago by celebrity chef Peter Kelly, whose whimsical take on New American cuisine has made this a Hudson Valley destination.

Other participating restaurants, in alphabetical order, are:
