Accredited by the American Association of Museums, the Katonah Museum of Art offers 10 to 12 exhibitions annually that cover a broad range of topics and time periods. The KMA also offers lectures, films, workshops, concerts and other events for a general audience. There are also Hispanic outreach programs that aim to aid literacy and assimilation. Children's programs reach more than 100 member schools. The Learning Center is the only interactive space in Westchester County where children can explore and create art daily. The annual attendance is about 40,000 people.

The Katonah Museum of Art is supported in part by ArtsWestchester, with funds from the Westchester County government and the New York State Council on the Arts.
