Looking for fun things to do with kids over the long weekend? A ceramics shop offers a winter workshop just for preschoolers in West Nyack.
In this workshop especially for the pre-K set, little ones age 3 and up can choose from a wide assortment of winter-themed crafts such as a hand-printed mug or a mitten-shaped dish, or make a favorite character such as SpongeBob or Spider-Man. Projects can be taken home or left for glazing and picked up the following week. And kids who like animals will thrill at the chance to meet the shop’s resident talking parrot, Teddy, or head outside to visit Travis the llama. Instruction is included in the one-hour program; pre-registration is requested.
When: Noon Monday or Tuesday, Jan. 21-22
Info: Jill’s Ceramics, 180 Germonds Rd., West Nyack; 845-623-4975; www.jillsceramics.com; $15
