If you’re serious about your caffeine consumption, Monkey Joe is the place for you. Housed in a restored former oyster restaurant dating back to the 1900s, this coffeehouse was founded with “real coffee drinkers in mind,” said owner Gabe Cicale.

Monkey Joe prides itself on offering only specialty-grade coffee, and roasts all of its beans in small batches on the premises. Seasonal offerings include pumpkin lattes and gingerbread creme lattes, but the emphais at Monkey Joe's is specialty-grade coffees which are unique "and can't be found in a supermarket." The Kingston coffeehouse has a "mom-and-pop atmosphere" that emphasizes personal interaction (which means no wi-fi on the premises).
