This cavernous ribs joint has a lot going for it: a delightful canopied patio with wide river views, a spacious dining deck protruding over the water, reasonable prices and peppy service. The giant bar and dining area have a faux Southwest décor, with all sorts of paraphernalia on clinging to the brick walls.
There is no music cover charge at Ribworks, but there is a rich variety of live music, from country to reggae. Tuesday is country music night, with free line dancing from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday features reggae. An assortment of bands are showcased on weekends, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Be forewarned that weekend nights can be a little crazed when the twenty-something cavalry charges in—you might try Thursday, reggae night. The menu carries the usual steaks, ribs, chops, fried seafood, and salads. -Bryan Miller
