Cafe Amarcord
276 Main St. Beacon, NY 845-440-0050
Daniel Goodrich
Café Amarcord is a fun and quirky place in the center of downtown Beacon. The name is homage to the sensual Fellini film of 1973, and the dining has a cinematic tone, with large framed movie posters, ochre-toned walls, long comfortable banquettes and crisp linen tablecloths. The menu changes all the time, with a focus on gutsy renditions of Italian classics along with American and French interlopers like roasted duck and foie gras. The international wine list has ample pleasing selections under $30. -Bryan Miller
