A sprawling, glass-enclosed local favorite near the Dobbs Ferry train station, this restaurant affords among the most impressive river views anywhere. From both the ground level and mezzanine dining rooms you can take in the sunset dipping behind the Palisades and see all the way from the Tappan Zee Bridge to lower Manhattan. Churning commercial river traffic adds to the show at no extra charge.
The cuisine here lacks the drama outside -- it’s fairly standard steak and seafood. One option is nibbles and drinks outside. When the sun goes down the music comes up. The creative wine list is fairly priced. As for service, it is largely rote. –Bryan Miller
