This is the kind of restaurant that might be described as a “brassaurant.” It bills itself as a French brasserie, and there are some visual elements of this -- red walls, strands of white lights, café tables -- but it’s really more of a comfortable country place, with its old wood-plank floors, a fireplace, dining porch and, unlike a brasserie, rather leisurely service. The Alsace-born chef, Pascal Graff, spins the oldies but goodies: duck confit, steak frites, goat cheese tart, bouillabaisse, and a croque monsieur. –Bryan Miller
