The uninitiated may question why the only available toppings are ketchup and Walter’s Mustard — a special recipe manufactured by Gulden’s exclusively for Walter’s — but one bite of the legendary hot dog will remove all doubt. Made by Boar’s Head to be true to founder Walter Warrington’s original recipe, the savory combination of pork, beef and veal is perhaps the best ever to be offered atop a toasted bun. Split lengthwise, the simple frankfurter is paired beautifully with any number of clever beverages, including egg cremes, cider, sweet tea, lemonade or 7-Up freezes mixed with fresh-fruit-infused Italian ices. -Chris Serico
