'The Price is Right' to hold auditions at Empire City Casino

Hudson Valley, come on down! If you stop by the Empire City Casino in Yonkers (810 Yonkers Ave., 914-968-4200), you just might be the next contestant on “The Price is Right.”

The popular CBS game show hosted by Drew Carey is holding auditions between noon to 3 p.m Thursday at the Good Times Room on the casino’s third floor. To audition, you must be 18 years or older, a legal resident of the United States and must not be a candidate for public office at the time of entry (sorry, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney). For additional eligibility rules and an application form, visit the casino’s website at empirecitycasino.com.

An Empire City Casino spokesperson said that at least two people at the contestant search will be flown to Los Angeles for the show, and one of them will make it to Contestants’ Row. Those are better odds than winning both Showcase Showdowns!
