System of a Down coming to Jones Beach

It was a big day for Nikon at Jones Beach Theater announcements – both for this year and next.

First, for this year: System of a Down comes to the Beach on Aug. 5. And if that wasn’t heavy enough, the Deftones are set to open. Ticket prices and on-sale date have not been announced yet.

As for next season . . . boy band sensation One Direction has announced another show for 2013: June 29. Tickets for this one, $39.50-$89.50, are on sale now via 800-745-3000, livenation.com. This is in addition to the boys’ June 28, 2013, show.
