Firefighters took about 45 minutes late Wednesday morning to put out a fire in a storage container at the World Trade Center site, an FDNY spokesman said.

Spokesman Frank Dwyer said a call for a fire at the site came in at 11:28 a.m., and 25 units and more than 100 firefighters responded in about six minutes, "because of the location and the complexity" of the site, Dwyer said.
