Two convicted bank robbers were charged with parole violations after Saugerties police stopped their vehicle for traffic violations, officials said Sunday.

Marion L. Barringer, 57, of West Hurley, and Patrick Mackey, 44, who told police he was homeless, were arrested at 7:41 p.m. Saturday on Route 9a in the Town of Saugerties after police said their names were flagged in a database check.
