Beekman town supervisor faces DWI charge

Town of Beekman Supervisor Matt Kennedy is due in court Thursday to face a drunken-driving charge stemming from an arrest in Greene County.

Kennedy, 40, of Martin Road, was charged after being stopped Dec. 22 at a drunken-driving checkpoint in the Town of Athens set up by the State Police, the Greene County Sheriff's Department and the Catskill Village Police Department, authorities said Monday.
