A City of Newburgh man who kept police at bay in a tense, 10-hour standoff in December had his request for a reduced bail denied Monday, officials said.

Gosford Lembhard, 26, continues to be held at the Orange County jail in lieu of $500,000 cash bail or $1 million bond on charges including attempted murder.
