A one-car accident in Goshen sparked a brush fire and knocked out power for almost 1,700 customers early Sunday. Police said a woman driving her Honda eastbound on Route 17M near the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center about 4:40 a.m. swerved to avoid a deer in thick fog.
