Firefighters were investigating the cause of a Sunday afternoon blaze at a vacant building in Middletown, officials said.
Smoke was visible for miles, and firefighters from nearly a dozen departments were summoned to battle the fire, which roared through the unoccupied building on Montgomery Street.
Middletown Fire Chief Tom Amodio said the blaze was intense.
