When his home caught fire early Tuesday morning and he realized there was no other way out, Joel Fuentes set aside fear and leaped from a second-floor window.

The Newburgh man admitted that "immediately, the panic kind of set in," but his wife, Meghan Bowden, and four sons were still inside.
