Owning a home ideal for many foreign-born residents in HV

Foreign-born residents who dream of owning their own home frequently see the dream come true in Orange and Dutchess counties.
Some 59 percent of foreign-born households in the Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown metropolitan statistical area were owner-occupied in 2011, according to data released Wednesday by the U.S. Census Bureau.
