Photo credit: Max Wiseltier | Max Wiseltier, 19, became New York University's most famous student with a single keystroke Monday, when he accidentally replied to nearly 40,000 of his fellow students on an email listserve. Wiseltier's story went viral when gossip sites such as Gawker began posting screen shots of the email volleys that followed.
That's all it took for Max Wiseltier to go from normal college kid to Internet celebrity.
Wiseltier, a 19-year-old finance major at New York University, meant to forward a university message about tuition documents to his mom on Monday. Instead of hitting the forward button, he hit "Reply All," and his email went to his fellow students -- all 39,979 of them.
