An Orange County schoolteacher cheated his school district out of tens of thousands of dollars via insurance fraud, police said.

Timothy G. Johnson, 49, of Newburgh, was charged Thursday morning with second-degree insurance fraud and second-degree grand larceny, felonies, State Police at Monroe said.
