Bags of animal bones found in Rye

Highway workers found eight bags filled with the remains of dogs, cats and possibly other animals near Interstate 95 in Rye on Tuesday. Investigators say there are "some similarities" to the discovery of 35 animal corpses near the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison in April. The animals also were disposed of in black plastic bags in that case. Charges against a Bronx veterinarian are still pending in the Harrison case. (July 10, 2012)
