Carlucci announces Lauren's Law
State Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) announces the historic passage of Lauren's Law (S.7103A), aimed to increase New York's enrollment in organ donation, at a news conference in his Nanuet office. Stony Point resident Lauren Shields, a 12-year-old heart transplant recipient for whom the law is named, joined him along with Helen Irving, the president of New York Donor Network. (June 22, 2012)
