A White Plains lecture series will focus on how adults 50 years and older can stay healthy.
Local health care professionals will offer presentations on a variety of topics for the age group from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays at the City of White Plains Community Center, 65 Mitchell Place, White Plains, according to a city news release Wednesday. Refreshments will be served.
The city is partnering with White Plains Hospital Center to offer these presentations on health related topics geared particularly to the 50 plus age group, the release said.
"Our goal with this lecture series is to make important, health-related information easily accessible to everyone who needs it by bringing it directly into the community," White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach said in the release. "We hope to continue this partnership with White Plains Hospital in the future and expand our offerings."
The topic for Nov. 15 is "80 is the New 60: Integrated medicine and the role of nutrition and exercise in whole body wellness," by Dr. Raj Budhavarapu.
