NYPD cops shoot teen who they claim was armed

Police in New York City say two officers fatally shot a teenage boy who they say pointed a gun at them after they approached him on a Brooklyn street.
Authorities say the 16-year-old, identified as Kimani Gray, was with a group of other males Saturday night but left when he saw police in an unmarked car. They say the boy was acting suspicious, and the officers approached him.
According to police, the boy then pointed a .38-caiber revolver at the officers, who responded by shooting him. The teen was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

Police say a loaded .38-caliber revolver was recovered at the scene.
Authorities say the officers were being treated for trauma and tinnitus and were in stable condition. The NYPD did not release their names.
