Deadline today for Cuomo court pick

While guns are in the Capitol spotlight, today also happens to be the deadline for Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo to nominate a judge to New York's top court.

This will be Cuomo's first chance to name a member of the Court of Appeals.

He has seven nominees to choose from. The state Bar Association found one of the candidates "not qualified."
