Blustery and wet weather is expected to whip through the region and greet motorists with a sloppy Friday morning commute.

"We'll be dealing with some heavy rain for the morning commute tomorrow," News12 meteorologist Brysen VanEck said.

The rain, coupled with winds of up to 25 mph, could add another challenge to the usual morning rush.

On Thursday, however, skies will be clear with temperatures in the mid-40s.

Rain is not expected to enter the picture until late Thursday night or early Friday morning.

"Between midnight tonight and noon tomorrow will be the 12-hour period where we'll be dealing with the stormy weather," VanEck said.

High temperatures are expected to hover near 40 over the weekend with cloudy skies and a chance of snow flurries on Saturday.
